NBA legend Michael Jordan got engaged to his girlfriend, model Yvette Prietto. He proposed to her on Christmas day, Access Hollywood reports.
The Christmas wedding proposals continues with Michael Jordan. After the news on Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey proposing to girlfriend Camila Alves, and singer Wynonna Judd becoming engaged to band mate Cactus Moser, the basketball icon Michael Jordan announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Yvette Prietto.
Jordan, 48, and Prietto, 32, started dating in 2008 and moved in together one year later.
This will be Jordan’s second wedding. The Charlotte Bobcats owner was married before, to Juanita Vanoy. They tied the knot in 1989 and separated in 2006, citing irreconcilable differences. Juanita first filed for a divorce in 2002, but later withdrew the file.
After 17 years of marriage, Jordan had to pay his ex-wife 168 million dollars. Forbes magazine reported at the time that it was one of the most expensive celebrity divorces.
Michael Jordan is the father of three children with Juanita Vanoy: sons Jeffrey Michael, 23, and Marcus James, 21, and daughter Jasmine,18.
